Flirt-2
Andro Kööp (b 1967) is an Estonian artist, who began participating in exhibitions in 1985. He graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts fashion department in 1995. Currently he is a visiting professor of textile and ceramics. Over the years Kööp has been working as an avant-garde artist, designer and interior designer. “Flirt-2” is the artist’s interpretation of the legendary artworks of Marilyn Monroe by Andy Warhol. In PoCo 7 versions of Warhol’s Marilyn are facing all the other famous people in the room, so one can contemplate on celebrities and media that has created them in the past and continues to do so in the present.
Andro Kööp (s 1967) on Eesti kunstnik, kes on näitustel osalenud alates 1985. aastast. Ta on lõpetanud Eesti Kunstiakadeemia moeosakonna 1995. aastal. Käesolevalt on ta Eesti Kunstiakadeemia tekstiili ja keraamika dotsent. Aastate jooksul on Kööp tegutsenud nii avangardkunstniku, disaineri kui ka sisekujundajana. “Flirt-2” on kunstniku interpretatsioon legendaarsetest Marilyn Monroe teostest Andy Warholi poolt. PoCo muuseumis on 7 Warholi Marilyni, kes on vastakuti teiste kuulsate inimesega samas saalis, seega võib mõtiskleda kuulsustest ja meediast, kes on neid minevikus loonud ja jätkab selle tegemist ka olevikus.
