Giosetta Fioroni

Giosetta Fioroni (b 1932) is an Italian painter. She comes from a family of artists, her father was a sculptor and her mother a painter and puppeteer. Fioroni studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. Her first exhibition took place in Paris in 1963 and her early works were abstract. In the years 1961-1970, she created the series Argenti, which means silver in Italian. Namely, she used silver aluminum enamel paint. In her works, she depicted iconic women from art history such as Sandro Botticelli's Venus, models and actresses. At the 1964 Venice Biennale, she presented some of the works of Argeni and this brought Italian Pop art to the attention of the world.
Giosetta Fioroni (s 1932) on Itaalia maalikunstnik. Ta on pärit kunstnike perekonnast, tema isa oli skulptor ja ema maalikunstnik ning nukunäitleja. Fioroni õppis Rooma Kaunite Kunstide Akadeemias. Tema esimene näitus toimus 1963. aastal Pariisis ning tema varajane looming oli abstraktne. Aastatel 1961-1970 lõi ta seeria “Argenti”, mis itaalia keeles tähendab hõbedad. Nimelt kasutas ta hõbedast alumiiniumist emailvärvi. Oma teostel kujutas ta ikoonilisi naisi kunstiajaloost nagu näiteks Sandro Botticelli Venus, modelle ja näitlejannasid. 1964. aasta Veneetsia biennaalil esitles ta osa “Argeni” teoseid ning see tõi Itaalia popkunsti maailma tähelepanu alla.
