Dmitri Cherniak is a Canadian NFT artist and engineer. Even though at the first glance the artwork looks simple, it brings out the fact that there are almost endless possibilities of how it is possible to wrap string around the pegs. Therefore the series, into which the artworks belongs asks to let oneself to be surprised. There are truly many combinations, which the algorithm can create. Namely, in the series the number and size of the pegs changes, also the area which is bound and coloured by the string. Whilst the series uses the primary colours – yellow, red and blue and creates hugely playful combinations, then it can be seen as a digital dialogue with legendary artworks by the Dutch artist Piet Mondrian (1872-1944). His signature style was using primary colours and abstract fields of lines and squares. There are 1000 unique artworks in the “Ringers” series and it is in the Ethereum blockchain.
