The Icarus Project

Jeroen van der Most

2023

ENG EST

Jeroen van der Most is a Dutch artist who has been creating art using various data, algorithms and artificial intelligence since 2010. The Icarus Project juxtaposes modern technology with the wings of Icarus, which lead to new heights, but ultimately to destruction. At the same time, the myth is about balance and avoiding extremes. A given NFT creates a journey that combines extremes, new and old, reality and simulation, etc. Fire and water, the elements of the Icarus myth, co-exist in a simulation calculated on a supercomputer at the Delft University of Technology.
