Ismo Kajander

Ismo Kajander (b 1939) is a Finnish artist, photographer and writer. He is a legendary Finnish avant-garde artist, who has had a long career spanning for six decades. In the early 1960s he lived and worked in Paris and he is associated with the neo-dada movement. In 2015 Kajander had a retrospective exhibition in Kiasma in Helsinki and the title “Anartist” nicely summed up his position in the art world referring to his countercurrent swimming in the mainstream art

Ta on legendaarne Soome avangardkunstnik, kelle karjäär on väldanud kuus aastakümmet. 1960. aastate alguses elas ja töötas ta Pariisis ning teda seostatakse neodadaismi lainega. 2015. aastal toimus Kiasmas, Helsingis Kajanderi retrospektiivnäitus, mis kandis pealkirja ”Anartist”. See võttis kenasti kokku tema positsiooni kunstimaailmas viidates tema vastuvoolu ujumisele peavoolu kunstis.
