Andy Warhol Eating a Hamburger

Jorgen Leth

1981

ENG EST

Andy Warhol Eating a Hamburger is a scene from Danish filmmaker Jorgen Leth’s 1981 film 66 Scenes from America. The filmmaker originally planned to limit the film to 40 scenes, but he and his cinematographer became so enamored with his method that they decided to add 26 more. Warhol reportedly asked for a McDonald’s burger before filming, but agreed to eat one from Burger King instead. The hamburger is a similar symbol to Warhol’s beloved Coca-Cola. The latter tastes and costs the same whether it’s being drunk by a president or a beggar on the street.
“Andy Warhol Eating a Hamburger” on stseen Taani filmitegija Jorgen Lethi 1981. aasta filmist “66 Scenes from America”.
