Edward von Lõngus is known as Estonian Banksy and Konstantin Päts (1874-1956) was the first president of Estonia. In current artwork president Konstantin Päts gives his hand to Pop art, known characters of mass culture and street art. Firstly, Pop art is known for it´s bright colours and repetition. Secondly, in the 1960s Pop art started depicting famous people like Marilyn Monroe and turned them into art icons. Thirdly, the artwork can be seen in Tartu city center under the bridge Kaarsild in bigger format and it is in the public space to be recognised and discussed. In the artist's own words the history depends on the writer and president Päts on the viewer. Who was that president Päts as whom the audience would have liked to know him?
Edward von Lõngus on tuntud kui Eesti Banksy ja Konstantin Päts (1874-1856) oli Eesti esimene president. Antud teoses ulatab president Konstantin Päts oma käe popkunstile, massikultuuri tuntud tegelastele ning tänavakunstile. Esiteks, popkunst on tuntud oma erksate värvide ja korduste poolest. Teiseks, popkunst hakkas 1960. aastatel kujutama kuulsaid inimesi nagu näiteks Marilyn Monroe ja muutis nad kunstiikoonideks. Kolmandaks, antud teos asub suureformaadilisena Tartu kesklinnas Kaarsilla all ning see on linnaruumis äratundmiseks ja aruteluks.
