Keith Haring

ENG EST

Keith Haring (1958-1990) was an American Pop and street artist. Even though he died when he was only 31 due to the AIDS related complications, he left an enormous legacy behind. These days a lot of fast fashion brands like Sinsay, Reserved, Primark etc have collaborated with Keith Haring Foundation. Therefore one can see his creations on everyday items such as t-shirts and hoodies. Haring used his art to raise awareness about AIDS and drug abuse, at a time both were topics that weren't really discussed publicly. He also wanted to show the importance of love in his art, therefore he used heart as a symbol.
