Jim Dine

Jim Dine (b 1935) is an American artist and poet associated with both Neo-Dada and Pop art. In addition to hearts, his well-known motifs are dressing gowns, tools and Pinocchio. In the late 1950s, he started creating happenings in New York together with Allan Kaprow and Claes Oldenburg. Dine is an innovative artist whose diverse works include drawings, sculptures, assemblages, paintings, etc. The artist has published more than twelve poetry collections and has held more than three hundred exhibitions.

Jim Dine (s 1935) on Ameerika kunstnik ja luuletaja, keda seostatakse nii neo-dada kui ka popkunstiga.
