Anatolii Varvarov

2021

ENG EST

Anatolii Varvarov (b 1967) is a Ukrainian artist. He graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture and he is a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. This work is a tribute to the painting The Key to the Fields (1936) by the Belgian surrealist artist Rene Magritte. Many of Varvarovs artworks feature paper airplanes or paper boats. On the one hand, paper airplanes fly carefree under the sky, on the other hand, paper airplanes are placed in striking contexts. For example, they fly following a swan or float in the wind with dandelion seeds. Varvarov's works carry the symbol of inner freedom and rising above the aggressive environment.
Anatolii Varvarov (s 1967) on Ukraina kunstnik. Ta on lõpetanud Riikliku Kaunite Kunstide ja Arhitektuuri Akadeemia ning ta on Ukraina Kunstnike Liidu liige. Antud teos on Belgia sürrealismi kunstniku Rene Magritte'i maali “The Key to the Fields” (1936) hommaaž. Paljudel tema teostel on kujutatud paberlennukeid või paberlaevukesi. Ühelt poolt lendavad paberlennukid muretult taeva all, teisalt on paberlennukid paigutatud tabavatesse kontekstidesse. Näiteks lendavad nad luige kannul või hõljuvad tuule ja võililleseemnetega. Varvarovi teosed kannavad endas sisemist vabadust ning agressiivsest keskkonnast kõrgemale tõusmise sümbolit.
