Marko Mäetamm (b 1965) is an Estonian artist. Kunstikonserv. Mäetamm TOP-100 is a canned art, a work that, according to the artist, is directly related to the music industry. If the audience cannot go to the exhibition or concert for any reason, they can comfortably watch and listen to art at home. The author plays with the idea of preserving art and it can be compared to, for example, canning tomato soup or recording sound on a cassette. Mäetamm considers the value of art to be the transmission of information, and it must be possible to mediate information on different media. Already in 1994, the author emphasized the accessibility of art to the masses in connection to the fast pace of life. Finally, Andy Warhol started depicting soup cans in art in the 1960s, and Mäetamm canned his creations in the 1990s.
Marko Mäetamm (s 1965) on Eesti kunstnik. “Kunstikonserv. Mäetamm TOP-100” on teos, mis kunstniku sõnul on otseselt seotud muusikatööstusega. Kui publikul ei ole mistahes põhjusel võimalik minna näitusele või kontserdile, siis saab mugavalt kodus kunsti vaadata ja kuulata. Autor mängib kunsti säilitamise mõttega ja seda on võimalik kõrvutada näiteks tomatisupi konserveerimisega või kassetile heli salvestamisega. Kunsti väärtuseks peab Mäetamm info edastamist ning infot peab olema võimalik erinevatel kandjatel vahendada. Juba 1994. aastal rõhutas autor seoses elutempo kiirenemisega loomingu kättesaadavust rahvamassidele. Viimaseks, Andy Warhol hakkas kunstis 1960. aastatel supipurke kujutama ning Mäetamm konserveeris 1990. aastatel oma loomingu ära.
