Ajamaja

Born in Valga in 1982 and raised around motocross tracks, the designer went on to build a 20-year career at the forefront of the European and Asian automotive industries. Björn Koop’s résumé is impressive. In 2004, he moved from the student desk at the Estonian Academy of Arts to an internship at Hyundai, where his path led him to become a senior designer at Kia Motors. Among the projects developed under his hand is the Kia Ceed, a model now familiar on streets around the world.

In 2018, his journey continued in Japan, at the design studio of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, where he worked until 2024.

This exhibition is, in many ways, a return to the machines that once sparked his imagination and taught him to dream big.
