Description
Colourbird is a museum lesson inspired by the 1974 cartoon that deals with basic emotions and the color wheel. We will explore the main feelings in artworks and get acquainted with the basics of color education. In addition, we have a color hunt and play with emotion dice.
Objectives
The student:
- learns about the color wheel and the meanings of colors;
- explores basic emotions in relation to artworks;
- takes part in color hunt and plays with emotion dice.
Before and after
The students can have a color hunt in the kindergarten and in the city space. Each child can look for, for example, five objects in primary colors or instead find things that correspond to all the colors of the rainbow.
You can also ask them to make collages of x-colored things (e.g. green pencil, sock, ball, etc.) that the teacher can photograph. You can also use word games to connect colors and emotions: grumpy green, peaceful pink, obedient orange, etc.
