CB Hoyo (b 1995) is a Cuban born self-taught artist, who lives and works in Europe. In a lot of his artworks he is using hand lettering and witty and at times hilarious messages. One topic he is exploring in his art is related to fakes. Namely he has created copies of the masterpieces and added his apt messages on top. For example there are Hoyos copies of Edvard Munch, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warholi, Jean-Michel Basquiat among others with his messages on top. As an example, Warhol's artwork “Red Jackie” from 1964, which one can see in the PoCo museum has a new layer in Hoyo's artwork and one can read ”This Warhol was not made by Warhol”. These kinds of artworks definitely offer almost a direct dialogue with the artist's views and sense of humour. Besides paintings Hoyo has created sculptures and installations and his art has been exhibited in London, New York and Hong Kong.
CB Hoyo (s 1995) on Kuubas sündinud iseõppinud kunstnik, kes elab ja töötab Euroopas. Ta kasutab oma loomingus palju käsitsi kirjutamist ning vaimukaid ja väga naljakaid sõnumeid. Üks teema, mida ta oma loomingus käsitleb, on koopiad. Nimelt on ta teinud tuntud kunstiteostest koopiaid ning nendele oma tabavaid sõnumeid lisanud. Näiteks on Hoyo loonud koopiaid Edvard Munchi, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warholi, Jean-Michel Basquiat teostest ning maalinud sinna peale oma sõnumid. Näitena Andy Warholi 1964. aasta teos “Red Jackie”, mida on võimalik ka PoCo muuseumis näha, kuid Hoyo on oma teoses sellele uue kihi lisanud ja sellelt võib lugeda “This Warhol was not made by Warhol”. Säärased kusntiteosed pakuvad kindlasti peaaegu otsest dialoogi kunstniku seisukohtadega ja huumorimeelega. Lisaks maalidele on Hoyo loonud ka skulptuure ja installatsioone ning tema loomingut on esitletud nii Londonis, New Yorgis kui ka Hong Kongis.
