ENG EST

Olafur Eliasson (b 1967) is a Danish-Icelandic installation and multimedia artist. Eliasson's work is very much related to the simple elements like light and water. What is very important is that it asks the audience to participate and to create their own experiences. His artwork Life is an edition of 365 to symbolize the days in one year and it takes 365 days for the Earth to orbit the Sun. Life of humans and plants needs sunlight, but life continues at nighttime as well. The artwork is using luminous paint so it is visible day and night.
