Antti Eklund (b 1960) is a Finnish architect, designer and artist. He has had an award winning career working for different companies including Alessi and Marimekko. In artists’ own words the art is his voice.  In his oeuvre he points out injustice and how power is being abused. The goal of the artworks is to make people take action towards positive changes. In the PoCo museum there are three artworks: “White Barry”, “Face Of Death” and “Lupus Putis”. The artworks bring the power topic to the museum as many countries elect their leaders this year. The idea behind the artwork, which depicts Barack Obama, is that the colour of the skin is not important, but values and actions are. The artwork depicting Donald Trump asks if it is a death mask or a lethal hatemonger. The last artwork depicts Vladimir Putin, who is being dressed as innocence, but in reality is the leader of oppression.
