Mr Brainwash
Thierry Guetta known as an artist Mr Brainwash (b 1966) is a French born street artist, who lives and works in Los Angeles. The artist is known for blending together street art and Pop art. He actually started out as a filmmaker documenting Banksy and Shepard Fairey working on the streets. When Mr Brainwash started creating his own art, he did interpretations of spray cans, for example he turned Andy Warhol’s Campbell soup cans into spray cans. In 2012 Mr Brainwash had his first London solo exhibition titled Life is beautiful, this was the same year the Summer Olympics took place in London. Queen Elizabeth II artwork and a large poster of the artwork were presented on the building wall.
Thierry Guetta kunstnikunimi on Mr Brainwash (s 1966) ning ta on Prantsuse päritolu tänavakunstnik, kes elab ja töötab Los Angeleses. Kunstnik on tuntud tänavakunsti ja popkunsti kokkusulatamise tõttu. Tegelikult alustas ta filmitegijana dokumenteerides kuidas Banksy ja Shepard Fairey tänavatel töötasid. Kui Mr Brainwash ise kunsti tegema hakkas, siis lõi ta oma tõlgendusi aerosoolvärvidest, näiteks muutis ta Andy Warholi Campbelli supipurgid aerosoolvärvideks. 2012. aastal toimus Mr Brainwashi Londoni esimene näitus nimega “Life is beautiful”, tegemist oli sama aastaga, kui Londonis toimusid suveolümpiamängud ning teost “Queen Elizabeth II” esitleti nii teose kui ka sellest tehtud suure plakatina majaseinal.
