Arina Golubeva's large-scale vase Color was created as part of a collaboration between the Ceramics Department of the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA) and the PoCo Pop and Contemporary Art Museum. The students were tasked with designing a signature piece for the museum - an object that would greet and bid farewell to visitors adorned with a fresh Fleur Royale floral arrangement. The works of ten young ceramic artists were presented at the exhibition PoCoEKApop held at Solaris shopping centre. The vase is made of grogged stoneware clay, hand-built using the coil technique and shaped by hand. According to the artist, the vase is a manifesto of liberation from rigid systemic frameworks, transforming form into a space for the uncontrolled movement of color. The abundance of glaze symbolizes the triumph of personal freedom over convention and predefined patterns.
